DMM/CPM: A Mighty Sound

A Mighty Sound

A mighty sound or sometimes a gentle whisper. That is the mystery of the work of the Holy Spirit and His ways in the life of those whom He is drawing to followership in Christ.

Fardia is not a peaceful person. Is she a person of peace, not clear at this point. Each night she awaits the arrival of the next hoped for customer. Be they college student, young mother, old man, or young child, she waits. A widow, a cast out divorced one from among a high divorce rate UPG, she has recounted the suffering of her life to this point.

As I passed by her roadside kiosk, I stopped to check in on her. Since facilitating the first DBS story with she and her friend, Sakia, the HS has impressed my heart to continue to intercede. Now, my next visit to her kiosk came at night. I had prayed that God would stoke up the fires of need in her own heart.

“My father died last week,” relayed a seemingly emotionless Fardia. Countless, the level of painful relationships, broken lives which lay across the landscape of the SOLI Muslims. The loss of her father was just another one of these seasons of grief.

As I journey to meet with her today, to share the next story in the prophet DBS series, I go with the vision of 4th generation of groups of worshipers who fall in love with Jesus, and obey and love Him as the same. For the broken pieces…for the losses of life, for pain and suffering, for highs and lows, a fearful heart can still find courage to live in such a way that one’s life is defined by the import of the eternal rather than the weight of the experiences of the moment.

Can a short life still make a mighty sound? Transformed lives of groups of reproducing followers of Christ is the vision: to the 4th generation in every desa, facilitated by SOLO lovers/adorers of Jesus.

Can these small voices still make a mighty sound?

The Father's heartbeat: a resounding yes and Amen.
